On our last night in Paris as we sat in the Moulin Rouge waiting for the show to start, we each tried to decide on what was the highlight of our trip. Mon dieu! Not an easy feat with so many wonderful sights and experiences under our belt and I don't think I was able to narrow it down to less than 5 highlights. However if I had to choose one unassuming highlight, it would be the Rodin Museum. As a photographer, I try to capture an emotion from a moment in time and hope that the viewer feels what I felt at the time I pressed the shutter. Its not easy and I have by no means mastered this craft but it is always in the forefront of my mind when I take a photograph. When we stepped into the grounds of the Musee Rodin, I didn't know what to expect but I don't think I anticipated being as captivated as I was by these statues that were somehow filled to the brim with emotion. You could see the anguish, the serenity, the fear and the love on their faces and it was extraordinary.
Wandering and looking at these pieces of art scattered around the carefully cared for gardens was a moment I don't think I will forget.
