Lamonts Bishop House Wedding - Alex and Craig

It was just two weeks ago that Alex and Craig got married at Lamont's Bishop House in Perth City. On a perfect summers day, they did things exactly as they wanted to by having their photos with their closest friends before the wedding, walking into the ceremony together and then sharing dinner with their honoured guests under the stars just as Alex had dreamed. Alex and Craig actually met when they were in the bridal party for their mutual close friends, Adam and Christina in late 2006. While Craig expressed more than a little interest in Alex, she held him at arms distance but did relent and give him her phone number. Things clearly went well as they eventually bought a home together and then on Christmas Day 2011, Craig popped the question to Alex.

I was honoured to have been able to witness their incredibly relaxed wedding at Lamont's Bishop House and to watch them finally tie the knot. I started the morning with Craig at his sister's home as he started to get ready.

I am such a fan of wedding stationery and Alex and Craig's was crafted by Wren Press and set the tone for an organic, casual affair to come.

Seeing the gown my bride's choose is one of my favourite moments. Alex's gorgeous Pallas Couture gown was so light and summery and set off beautifully by her pastel bouquet.

Alex and Craig wanted to see each other before their wedding for their photographs so they could have their ceremony practically at sunset and go right into cocktails with their guests. After our location changed twice that morning, I ended up suggesting we do their first look in their backyard that they love so much and it was an amazing moment.

Shortly afterwards we visited UWA for their portraits with their friends counting down the minutes before Alex and Craig would become husband and wife.

I had to make sure I got a gorgeous portrait of Christina and Adam whose wedding brought together Alex and Craig. They both travelled from the US for the wedding and were overjoyed to stand next to their friends as they said "I do".

Lamont's Bishop House was a hidden jewel amongst the skyscrapers. I love the contrast of the heritage building against its city backdrop and with one long run of table for their dinner reception, it was just as Alex and Craig had hoped for their day.

The lovely vintage chairs were hired from Her Handpicked Harvest and were labelled with place cards.

A tower of wedding cupcakes from Rochelle Adonis was a sweet treat to look forward to at the end of the night.

Michael and the team at Lamont's were wonderful and I had heard amazing things about not only their food but also their service and I can't say anyone was disappointed.
