Perth Wedding - Jasmine and Jason

Sometimes its the simple things that are the best. Jasmine and Jason's wedding last week was a perfect example of how this is usually true. Their wedding was a beautiful traditional event which was exactly as they wanted it. Not too much fuss, nothing overbearing. Just a day for them to come together as a new family unit and celebrate with their family and friends with elegance and exquisite taste. When I look at Jasmine and Jason I can't help but smile. They are two people who are delightfully in love and grateful for what each of them gives the other. It was an honour to spend a perfect spring day with them last week as they said their vows at Mercedes College, where Jasmine was a student and then at their reception at one of my favourite venues, Mosman's.

I spent the morning with Jasmine, her mother and girlfriends as they prepared at Mulberry Mansion.

Jasmine's beautiful gown was from Donna Tobin Couture. The perfect compliment were the mix of roses from Urban Flowers of Perth.

The ritual of a bride getting ready to walk down the aisle is something so amazing. Jasmine had each of her bridesmaids and her mother take part in her getting ready from putting on her perfume to her shoes and her jewellery.

Jasmine was escorted down the aisle by her mother, Vicki. No matter how many times I experience this moment, my heart still leaps into my throat.

After the ceremony we headed to Fremantle for the on location portraits.

I don't often post many bridal party photos but I knew from the moment I met them, that these were the girls to recreate the Bridesmaids cover. The had just the right amount of attitude to pull it off. You may have seen my Instagram version, and now here is the real deal. Those girls brought it!

While we were on location, Jasmine and Jason's guests enjoyed cocktail hour at Mosman's over looking the river. The decor and furniture was hired from Bride & Groom Store. With lounges, a Polaroid station and cocktails, it was the perfect location for the guests to spend the afternoon before heading into the reception.

While their guests enjoyed cocktail hour, I quickly slipped into Mosman's to photograph some of the details. It is such a great location with an earthiness and lots of texture but always looks best when minimally dressed with a hint of colour in the decor.
