Andrew and Bhavia had two weddings and this traditional Indian wedding honouring her heritage was the first of them on a relaxed Tuesday morning. To say it was a beautiful experience is an understatement and I am so honoured to have been able to witness and photograph this colourful and happy event. At their second wedding just a few days later, those that were at the Indian ceremony continued to say how they have never witnessed a more beautiful and spiritual ceremony tying two people together. I have to agree.
I first met with Bhavia as she finished getting ready with her sister and mother.
The ceremony and lunch reception was held at Bollywood Restobar in Innaloo. A perfect location!
Something incredible beautiful about this traditional ceremony was how it is a ceremony involving many family members. The priest that presided over the ceremony was so gracious to take the time to explain to those not familiar with the ceremony, what everything meant and the symbolism of all the elements.
