Earlier this month Olivia and Martin tied the knot at their Scented Gardens South Perth wedding in front of their family and friends from all over the world and later dined with the cityscape in the background at the Boatshed restaurant.
Martin had previously met Olivia (the new Australian waitress in the restaurant he was a chef at) but it was on one particular day when she and a friend came by the restaurant after a day out in London that he remembers as poignant. Wearing a red beret and with her eyes wide with excitement, she told him of their adventures and he began to fall for her sense of wonder and her good, good heart.
Eventually their easy conversations and growing friendship gave way to excitement and anticipation of their next accidental meeting in the hallway and they embraced the connection and began dating. Eventually Olivia moved back to her hometown of Perth and after continuing their relationship long distance for almost a year, Martin moved to Perth to be with Olivia – literally moving to the end of the earth to be with the girl he loved (as his best man recalled during his speech). Then some 4 years ago they were back in England for a holiday and Martin whisked Olivia away for a romantic escape in the Cotswolds. As they picnicked in a field of flowers, Olivia felt as though she were in a Jane Austen novel and Martin laid out the champagne and strawberries and topped it off with an engagement ring.
