Before their own DIY wedding, Peta and Dave’s own love story began at another wedding. A wedding of their mutual friends where Peta was a bridesmaid and as Dave recalls, she captivated him immediately. Their burgeoning friendship grew into a relationship that has seen them travel the state and now begin their new life on Christmas Island.

There is a quiet understanding between them that you can see where words sometimes don’t need to be spoken for the other to know what they are thinking or what they need which is beautiful to watch.
I was over the moon to be able to photograph Dave and Peta’s wedding on a private farm where Peta grew up just outside of Bunbury. Having their wedding at this location was incredible special to Peta and she spent many a quiet night in front of the television working on craft projects to make their wedding the night of their dreams.

With amazing moments throughout the day (and one particularly embarrassing one on my part), including finishing up their on location portraits in front of their teepee that was their honeymoon lodge for the night, it was a day of love and laughter as they became husband and wife that I am delighted to share with you.
