When we returned from Paris it was to a burst of colour here in Perth. The natives trees and wildflowers were in full bloom but especially the bottle brushes that line most of the streets and parks here in Perth.
Jappalin (from Flower Talk) and I had discussed this concept last year but as the bottle brush season was only a few weeks we didn’t have the chance (we had also just finished this amazing spring inspired style shoot). So we found a dress, a model, a makeup artist and a venue and pulled together this small bridal shoot in less than a week. There was a bit of a Christmas vibe with all the red and green so it seemed a perfect time of year to share the shoot and we are thrilled to see it published on 100 Layer Cake today too.

Being a part of a style shoot is always a lot of fun as it allows all of us to be creative and craft something strictly from our dreams. For this particular shoot our vision was to showcase the beautiful gown from Samantha Wynne and the flowering native bottle brush flowers. What we ended up with was a beautifully simple bridal shoot that we imagine took place just before our bride was whisked away in her convertible Jaguar to her awaiting groom.

A big thank you to 100 Layer Cake for featuring this shoot so be sure to check it out for even more.
