Lucas’s proposal to Cecily just last December is what fairy tales are made of. As they were riding the “It’s a Small World” ride at Disneyland, Lucas managed to kneel is tall frame in the small boat onto one knee and ask Cecily to be his wife. By the time the ride was over and she had said yes to his proposal, Cecily wanted to do it all over again an relive the experience. The second time they got of the ride, the staff coincidentally gave the newly engaged couple badges that read “Happily Ever After”. It was the icing on the cake.
Lucas had proposed with a Georg Jensen ring Cecily had been coveting but with the promise that the next week when they visited New York, she could choose her engagement ring at Tiffany’s. Then another coincidence occurred where Cecily chose the ring that Lucas had quietly thought to himself would be perfect for her. It was the cherry on top.
Cecily and Lucas are getting married next month at Mosman’s and I am delighted to be a part of their day. We got together last weekend though for their engagement session and some of the most beautiful sunlight I have seen for weeks. Another coincidence? Maybe these two are just blessed.
Both Cecily and Lucas went to UWA so it was the perfect location for us to start at.
A big thank you to Living Dolls for Cecily’s makeup. She looked incredible – especially in the arms of her fiance.
After a quick outfit change we visited Kings Park for a more rustic backdrop. Shooting in the bush is a favourite of mine and this was no exception.
Cecily and Lucas had booked me over the internet so this was our first meeting in person. Yet another reason I love engagement sessions – we can get to know each other and my couples get some gorgeous, casual portraits.
