jinky workshop

Wow!

I just returned from a weekend at a photographers workshop just outside Canberra with Jinky and my head is still spinning. So much knowledge, talent and potential in all of the photographers I met and I am so pleased to have attended. I have some great ideas for moving forward with my own business and will be implementing them over the course of the next few months. 2009 is going to be big :)

Here are just a couple of shots I took on the weekend. The kids were so beautiful, lots of fun and not at all intimidated by the 16-something cameras pointed in their direction.

Out of the office

I will be out of town for the weekend, returning Monday 27th October. I am off to NSW to take part in a workshop with the remarkable Photographer Jinky. Such a wonderful opportunity that I am still amazed to be able to be able to attend.

I will respond to emails and phone calls when I return on Monday. Have a great weekend!

self portrait

High time I put up some shots of me (considering this blog is called Angela Higgins after all). These are some self portraits taken in the sunset with the breeze whispering past me the other day. My self portraits don’t normally turn out too well and are normally of the sky or perhaps my ear if I’m lucky. I managed to almost get a full head shot this time round.

meagan + andrew

Two words. Freakin’ awesome! Meagan and Andrew’s wedding was gorgeous from start to finish and I was so pleased to be able to be a part of it. I assisted Amanda again from White Tulip Photography and we started with the bride’s prep (so much fun) and then I head on over for some shots with the boys at the Vines.

I could talk on and on about the tiny details that made this day so special for Meagan and Andrew, but I will let the images speak for themselves. The day was gorgeous, Meagan and Andrew were both enamoured with each other and there was much laughing and hugging going on. Considering how many images I wanted to show, I took a different approach and “borrowed” from Fred Egan’s great use of inspiration boards for his weddings.

I will say that the crew at the reception were the craziest dancers I have ever seen – getting down to Murphy’s Lore (who were great!). I really had to drag myself away or I would have stayed there all night.
