details
Details so familiar that could be so easily forgotten if she were to go tomorrow. I am glad I have the opportunity to document her life. The black spots on her chest. Her multi-coloured nails. The way she lounges and has an expression on her face of complete and utter boredom. Her agility to climb the couch like a mountain goat. Her terrible underbite.
This is why I do what I do. To catch the little things that might seem insignificant at the time, but hold so much meaning in photographs.
Wall Displays
I know for many people, the thought of creating a wall display of photographs is frightening to the point of paralysis. Its a big committment to purchase the frames, the hardware and then to start thinking about how to do the measuring and placement can be enough to make you give up right then and there.
I’m so happy to be able to offer a solution to this problem through wall display recommendations. Customised completely to your space, we can create a display that best showcases your photographs in real time. Not sure if the picture will be big enough or perhaps fit in with your decor? Problem solved!
Below are just some of the displays I made up this morning. The background colours can be changed, the frames rotated – the possibliities are endless and I know will be a great help to many of my clients. Be sure to ask about it at your session and I can create some suggestions based on your wall space available.
I might even start looking into supplying a selection of frames and hardware too
sailing
On Thursday we had a function for my “other” job. It is something we do every year and I look forward to the day because it gives me an excuse to get the camera out and experiment a little.
The function is a sailing event on the river and there is something facinating to me about marinas and boats. The colours, the lines of the boats, the ropes and rigging, the shadows it all creates – everything is just begging to be photographed.
So here are a few shots I liked. Hope you like them too
sisters
Sometimes I wonder how it is that two dogs that look so different, are so close. Their personalities mesh with Lulu tolerating Lily’s craziness and Lily making sure Lulu gets some exercise during the day by revving her up.
They often sit like this with Lulu dozing off while watching TV and Lily grooming her or jumping on her. Doesn’t Lulu look impressed at all the attention? They spend all day together and do everything together and I hope it will continue to do so for many more years.
I mean, whose going to lick Lulu’s ears clean if Lily isn’t around? As much as I love her – I am not putting my hand up for that job.
