Over the past year or so I have been delving into my mother’s photograph collection and taking copies of certain photographs for myself to keep. I love to have photographs of my family and Grant’s family surrounding us in our home in special frames I have found.
While I love photo albums, there is something entirely different and a little more tangible about having a photograph on display.
I’m not talking in a “crazy cat lady” way where mantles are a sea of photographs, but rather few select favourites that have moments or people I want to be surrounded by in my daily life. It creates a home that invites me in every day as we begin to frame our own memories on dressers, bookshelves and cabinets throughout our home.
