Style Shoot – Life is Beautiful

My goal when being involved with a style shoot is to showcase ideas and concepts that a bride never knew she wanted. While they need to be a little outside of the box, I think they also need to be accessible for brides to translate them into ideas for their own wedding. I often look to fashion for inspiration and with all colours of the rainbow from pastel pinks to neon orange around and lively prints everywhere it seemed like the perfect starting point.

In early August Jappalin of Flower Talk and I brought this inspiration to life with a style shoot that we quickly termed Life is Beautiful. We had visions of a spring garden celebration with bursts of bright colour paying homage to the floral-on-floral trend and bringing an accessible hit of fluorescent colour without being overwhelming. With ombre shades of gerberas taking centre stage against a pastel backdrop, Jappalin’s floral design perfect for the concept.

A style shoot is always a great way to experiment without the pressure of real wedding timelines and but also to hand pick other artists that we may not have worked with before.
Our creative team were incredible and did an amazing job bringing the vision to life and we hope you enjoy the inspiration.

I am so thankful to the Wedding Chicks who featured this style shoot on Friday. I thought I’d share just a few of my favourites but head over to their blog for heaps more.
