Margaret River Wedding – Pippa and Justin

About 7 years ago, Pippa and Justin worked with the same company but had never actually met. That was until a mutual friend introduced them at a party and Justin romanced Pippa with stories of his 1968 Hillman Hunter clearly knowing the way to Pippa’s heart was by making her laugh. Justin however knew Pippa was the one when she turned on the TV to happily watch the golf :)

Pippa and Justin are both from Victoria but currently work in Singapore and decided to have a destination wedding in Margaret River. Their very small guest list flew in from across the country and the world to be a part of their intimate wedding at Chandliers on Abbey just a few weeks ago.

Their wedding was so simple and beautiful. The exchanged vows in front of just 20 friends and family without fuss. It was a moment for Justin and Pippa to declare they would from that moment on, live for the other. After the ceremony icey cold drinks were served (it was a 38 degree day!) and they shared hummingbird cake with their guests and then finished with a reception dinner at Lamonts Winery.

I see so many similarities in how Justin and Pippa elegantly executed their wedding in how we will also have ours. It was a fitting moment when, as I recounted all the details to Grant that evening over dinner, that the next wedding I attend will be our own in a few short weeks. I couldn’t imagine a more beautiful couple to have spent it with.

Pippa got ready in one of the chalets at Chandeliers on Abbey. I adored her custom dress from Renee L Collections in Singapore with delicate chantilly lace. I could not think of a more perfect dress for Pippa.

It was an incredibly intimate moment as Pippa got ready with just her mother, makeup artist Brenda Lee and myself in the chalet. I was honoured to be given the task of tying her sash in place :)

The ceremony location was styled and the day coordinated by Peta at Vintage Bloom. The hummingbird cake from Edible Art was almost 20cm high and was one of the most beautiful I had seen.

Pippa told Justin and I that as they were on their way to the ceremony her father asked her what her “something borrowed” was. She didn’t have anything so he gave her a $20. Love!
