I don’t think Justin realised what the day had in store for him when he planned his proposal to Amy. It was their 2 year anniversary and all of Justin’s plans that he had been mulling over for several months were finally going to be realised on that day. He rode off to work that morning as if everything was normal but instead he had secretly taken the day off from work to prepare for the proposal. He waited patiently for a couple of hours for Amy to leave the house and then began to put the wheels in motion.
When he returned home with a helium tank and ingredients for a romantic meal that evening, he realised that they had been broken into. In a daze he wandered through the house and he came across their bedroom in disarray having been ransacked by burglars. Fortunately his cunning hiding spot where he had stored Amy’s engagement ring was undiscovered and the ring was safe and sound. However Justin’s plans of a house of balloons and his carefully planned proposal had been disturbed and he had no choice but to let Amy know what had happened at their home.
When Amy returned home Justin sat her down on the couch and told her that today was meant to be a very special day and was now going to be memorable for very different reasons. He knelt on one knee and asked Amy to marry him amongst the rubble of their burgled home. And the rest, as they say, is history.
I was so looking forward to Amy and Justin’s wedding for a number of reasons. They spent countless hours creating pin wheels, wedding favours and bombonieres and Amy’s tea length polka dot dress was lovingly made by Justin’s mother. But being able to spend time with Amy and Justin again was something I was looking forward to the most. They are truly a gracious and giving couple and to see them showered with affection from their family and friends on their wedding day was a privilege. Their day ended at Roley’s on the Ridge with an overwhelming sense of peace and joy with a feeling of being on top of the world as we watched the sun set over Perth.
You can catch up on Amy and Justin’s planning through Amy’s blog at Polka Dots & Sunshine. She is just so cute, I am sure you will fall in love with her too

Amy and Justin opted to see each other before the ceremony for a First Look. They wanted to spend as much time as possible with their guests after their ceremony. It was an incredibly moving moment as Amy came over the hill to meet Justin for the first time as his bride and future wife. We created some wonderful moments that are such a compliment for their engagement session photographs.

Photos are beautiful Angela. Looks like a lovely wedding.

Once again Angela you have done a beautiful job of capturing my brothers’ AND new sister-in-laws love for each other. They had an incredible day and you helped to make it special. Thank you and I can’t wait to see the rest.
